Treatment of Facial Veins and Rosacea

Many skin conditions are the result of abnormal blood vessels.

Facial Vein Treatment

Presence of superficial veins on the face (telangiectasias) is a cosmetic problem that troubles millions of people.  Most physicians concur that light therapy alone may not be sufficient to clear the veins in most cases.

Small, superficial red veins can be successfully treated with the Nd:YAG laser. Several treatments are required over monthly intervals.

Advanced laser technology offers an effective treatment for facial veins. And we offer treatment with this technology in our office.

How does a laser help?

Using a beam of light, Cynosure lasers treat a broad range of vascular conditions by selectively treating the areas of concern.  The laser light selectively targets and coagulates problem blood vessels while leaving the surrounding skin unchanged, redness is decreased and skin has a softer more radiant glow.

How many treatments are required?

Results are seen within three to four weeks.  Typically, one to two treatments are recommended. The laser can selectively target red vessels and blotches on the face legs.
