How does Affirm work? Affirm gently treats aging skin with micro-pulses of light that stimulate collagen production, making skin appear more supple and full, while treating wrinkles. The Affirm also treats discoloration, a common condition associated with aging skin that results in age and sun spots. Can Affirm treat wrinkles, or any age related skin condition? The Affirm treatment is specifically designed to diminish the effects of time on the skin such as wrinkles, photo-aging, and other conditions. How do I know if I am a candidate? If your skin is showing signs of any of the above mentioned conditions, you are a candidate. A consultation with Dr. Kassir will help you determine your specific needs. What are the side effects? The typical side effects from treatment are minimal. Patients usually experience some redness, puffiness or mild swelling in the treatment area that can last from a few hours to a day. The redness can be concealed with the use of make up. How many sessions will I need? Wrinkles and pigmented lesions typically require 4-6 treatments. Do I have to do anything special after each treatment? You may resume your normal routine, although using a sunscreen is recommended.
